| A relatively small wood can easily
cost more than £200,000, which means it is beyond the
means of even a fairly highly paid person. In addition to the
initial cost, managing an entire wood on your own can be a fairly
onerous long-term responsibility too. So rather than having
to pay a huge sum of money to be able to roam in your own ancient
woodland you can do it now, with a little help from us, for
as little as £5,000. You will receive deeds for the freehold
interest of your section of the wood, from the Land Registry,
two keys to the main gate, a certificate of ownership and an
attractive framed photograph of your wood.
Once you have received your Welcome Pack and the deeds from
the land registry you will be able to roam around the wood
whenever you like, on your own, with friends – at any
time. Initially you will be asked to pay an initial non-refundable
deposit of £500. Then, in the same way as you do when
you buy a house, a balance of £4,500 is payable at completion.
Buying land is much easier than buying a house though. And,
what’s more there’s no VAT or stamp duty to pay.
And in certain circumstances woodland is exempt of inheritance
tax, although you may need to take independent financial advice
on this issue.
